Having picked up a £3000 quote off the C&CC site, I was fearing the worst - as a brand new MH owner with no experience, I thought I'd better start saving!
I asked a friend who manages an insurance brokers and got a quote for £331 less the C&CC discount = £299 - comprehensive £300 excess just me to drive (age 66) 3000 miles a year with 90 days european use. This was on a 2020 Elddis 105 accordo worth £43000. Happy to introduce anyone if they would like to get a quote

The problem with Staveley Head (who are brokers and also owned Policyplan) is they went bust earlier this year and were rescued by Onesure. Staveley Head/Policyplan had a habit of using unrated insurers like Elite, Qudos and Gefion - all of whom have gone into liquidation. As a matter of interest, who are they using now?

I am a business insurance broker but don't deal with domestic policies & especially not MH cover - hence I used the "ask a friend" option. Bestcover is my standard user name on a lot of forums but as I signed up as a member of MHF, I changed to Keep Right On - not only the anthem of Birmingham City FC but sums up my anticipation for the start of my MH ownership.
Prior to Onesure buying Staveley Head from the administrators, there were some severe claims handling issues but perhaps they are ok now with the new owners
