For anyone who is worried, having heard that early frosts have killed 60-70% of the grapes in Bordeaux and elsewhere, I can confirm all is well in Burgundy.

The vines on our terrace have gone mad, both the red and white grapes in abundant supply. Roll on Vendange!:):wine::france:

We visited a France passion site somewhere in the Loire this year. It was a vigneron (Wine cellar) and the owner showed us a bag of hailstones she had kept from the storms in the Spring.
Lets just say they were bigger than marbles and, as a result she said there would be no wine from their land this year.

Many were severely hit by frost in Portugal, some will have no crop but most seem to be heading towards a bumper crop!!!. Like hailstorms, frost can hit certain areas and leave others untouched.

That's it.

Now fully edible and nice and juicy. They have ripened early this year with the great weather we have been having.
