This is just sound out if there is any interest in a Fun meet at the Grand Henham Steam Rally at Henham Park in Suffolk. It's the same venue as the Latitude Festival and is beautiful Suffolk countryside. It's a traditional country fair with the bias towards steam, but there historic cars, tractors, and heavy vehicles, a brilliant steam fair etc. Friday nights is fairly special as the fair is open with only those camping there to enjoy.

They are happy to set up a Fun area, and Fun bookings on the website. At present I am unclear if there is any discount, but normal camping and entry tickets are £60 with two adults. Extra adults are £25, Children 8 to 14 £6, and under 8's free.

If there is enough interest I can possibly set up a run up to or follow on rally so Funsters can take in the lovely area nearby.

Please reply here if you are interested, but do not book direct yet please? I have told them I will get back to them in the next couple of weeks to say if we want our own area.

Thanks ...... Robin

Robin, it sounds a good idea but we cannot do those dates this year (tour round the Borders/NE)
Best wishes

Thanks for looking at getting another rally going (y)

I have voted no as we hope to be across the water for the first time in years.
If it goes ahead i hope you get good weather.

Just down the road for me and always was a fantastic event, But alas this year a wedding requires my attendance across the channel

We have been trying to get to Henam steam fair for the last few years but of course the covid has stopped us but our friends have been and say it’s a very good steam fair👍

Ha ha nice one Jim ... Unfortunately the only club camping there, apart from the steam ones, was CAMC with about 20 pitches and we managed to grab one at the last minute.
We had the pleasure (some may argue) of pitching for 3 nights alongside Dan & Mazzy, of Travel Trolls "fame" who have recently been getting a bit of a hammering on another thread here. While I don't particularly like their style of presenting on their Youtube TV channel we found them to be a very pleasant and sociable couple who seem to work quite hard at what they do.

Unfortunately they're still not showing a specific MHF area..not worried about discount price but would still like to go.
