The British Ambassador said in an interview that direct shipping lines will be operational in September 2021 from Poole to Tangier....We have been waiting for this...I know i have been waiting since it was first announced in March

if you have been waiting for this as well and hope to avoid crossing France and Spain (borders between Spain and Morocco are closed until further notice...it is political) see if you can add a comment under the article in the link above.

Lets hope the prices are reasonable. Could be great for us in the UK and help to lengthen our 3 month out of Europe holiday.

For goods only to start with, but they expect the return journey will be empty. What a waste, many of us I'm sure would take the journey to Morocco on the ferry and then drive back through Spain and France.

In the meantime has anyone made the journey double jabbed since the latest amber regs came in negating isolation? We plan to travel to Morrocco via Spain next month and return the same way. Trying to get my head round the Spanish FCS form regarding transit control. It doesn't specify if you need to complete one each time you enter Spain and get the QR code or if you need to apply in Morrocco for the return trip.
Not getting any reply from Spain Travel Health Maritime dept atm.

Pretty much the same news here.



It's the bit about taking a PCR test before boarding in Genoa Sete or Marseille and the taking a further test WHILST onboard might put many off ( amongst other reasons)

We plan to travel to Morrocco via Spain next month and return the same way.

I've since had it confirmed that ferries between Spain and Morocco and vice versa are still not taking passengers, which as Rob has already pointed out means travelling from Italy or France. Back to the drawing board....
