Hi all
Me and the missus are going to Spain in molly.
This our first euro trip in a mh
Is there any documentation or requirements we need to sort before we go?

We have insurance, breakdown, passports sorted

We take original V5, insurance certificate, green card, health insurance, EHIC, vaccination proof.

Same, except I don’t believe you need a green card now.

Comfort give you one and say you do but I thought like you there was no need.

Also you need a warning ⚠️, hi viz vests, spare bulb set and first aid kit.

They don't actually they say you need to contact them for one but when you do they say you only need it for a trailer.
Our renewal got one with it this year whereas in the past you had to apply which I thought was odd but maybe its just easier for them to supply to everyone rather than having to send separately.

We didn't and I phoned them because of the note about needing one.

I live in France and have a UK registered 4x4 vehicle here for 6 months per year on a Green Card. Is there an exemption for MoHos?

I had to request a greencard for my trailer. No problem to Comfort who sent it out immediately.

2 warning triangles for Spain or one of the emergency lights that send out a radio becon to traffic control. I can't remember what they are called.

I don't think bulb kit is required now as nearly impossible for the average driver to change bulbs on a modern vehicle, I still carry them.

No, after Bx they were required for 7 months then it all changed in August that year so you no longer needed one.

Sorry, I'm a bit confused (easily done!). Are you saying that no vehicles now need a Green Card, please? My insurance company gave me one just 2 months ago and reminded me to carry it at all times when outside the UK.

Warning triangle x 2
Flashing beacon
Fire extinguisher
UK sticker
Yellow vests, high vis per passenger
Beam benders

And don’t drive with your hand out of the window.

Unless you are Jose the builder in your clapped out Renault van. Gitan hanging from bottom lip 😉

Yes as long as you are not towing a trailer then you need one.

Lots of suncream..Factor 50..a large brimmed hat.... Air-conditioning installed in van...if you have pets, leave them at home...
Lots of beer money....it's rammed just now...so find shady campsite if possible, with a pool...
We live 20 minutes from Med Coast...we will be leaving our Air-conditioned apartment and head somewhere cooler returning in October..
Great place to live in Spain and have done for 23 years....however...not in July and August...

This from Comfort -:

Green Cards - From August 2021, the European Commission agreed that the UK are now able to participate in the “Green Card Free Circulation Area” (GCFCA)*, removing the need to carry Green Cards for all vehicles from the UK who are entering these countries.

Whilst this is the law, there’s still some confusion. That’s why on a ‘belt and braces’ approach we’re still continuing to issue annual green cards free of charge to all new and existing customers with their Aviva policies. Other insurers’ green cards are available upon request.

Thanks all
