What M-J said!!!!

Make double sure it belongs to who ever is selling it and there’s NO Finance on it👍 Most other things can be sorted/fixed, good luck with the viewing👍

how would i make sure it belongs to the guy that is selling it and how do i check for outstanding finance

If you think it's for you make purchase conditional on them letting you have an independent hab check (at your expense). If they won't walk

You can pay for a premium HPI check I seem to recall it guarantees up to a set amount ££ prob not enough for an expensive moho tho. I’m afraid it’s a case of check everything else as well, V5, in his name and address, MOT history, any service history. 9/10 times everything is legit. Due diligence is the order of the day.

Especially any previous advisories

The one thing to look out for is any advisory or fail due to corrosion of body or chassis - welding a camper or motorhome can be difficult and expensive

That's what I really meant. If it's things like suspension linkages that have since been replaced exhausts etc nothing to worry about but of its corroded suspension mounting areas etc it would put me off.

Looked at one recently, history said corrosion in 2006, off the road until 2020 (no MOTs) then suddenly a Pass ! - with just one advisory - 'Undersealed'.............. big red flag

You do not say how old it is and how much you are spending.

In all motorhomes of whatever age you need to check for damp, as that can be very expensive to cure. Get yourself a damp meter or, if you are not sure, arrange for it to be checked by an expert. For older motorhomes you need to check for rust underneath, again that can be very expensive to cure.

As others have said an HPI check is essential
