We planned on going to Croatia, we're currently on a cracking site near Innsbruck.

The long range forecast shows plenty of rain, so considering heading west towards France (Annecy) where the forecast seems better.

Setting Mapsource to fastest and avoid tolls the route completely avoids Switzerland... Strange.

Looking on Search for Sites, Camper Contact and Park4night shows practically no Aires worth visiting in Switzerland campsites seem expensive ACSI sites seem few and far between , most Aires seem to have poor or no reviews, same for Italy.

It's doing my head in.

Switzerland is a stunning place. I've only stayed in two sites there but they were superb. It is expensive but if you can find an ACSI site you can use go for it. Remember there are rules about vignettes depending on weight and if you plan on using motorways.

Swiss campsite.

Of course I speak as someone who once headed for Croatia but missed. Ending up at almost the heel of Italy instead.

I'm heading for Croatia leaving 1st June and going via Vienna.
I'd stick with it, weather will surely improve soon ?
I was surprised when I saw all that bad weather over that part of Europe.

Well, the ten day forecast for Plitvicka is abysmal, so we're abandoning that and heading west to France.

Croatia will have to wait.
