Which chassis are you on?

If you are on fiat (with leaf springs) you can easily fit air assist

about £300 to replace the bump stops on the rear axle, easily within the scope of a competent DIYer IMO.

I have glide-rite hydraulic levelling which is very good, but they have been fitting air suspension to ambulances e.t.c. for years, so they must be good at that too

We had gide rite air assist fitted to our rear alko axle at liphook.
Am very pleased. We were able to discuss with engineer location of air pump and associated relays before he started.
All fitted in one day, we were there for 0830, completed by 1600.
Been on nearly 2 years and stiill very pleased.

We're also pleased with the Glide-Rite air assist fitted on our Merc chassis. "Does exactly what it says in the tin" .
I also agree with jongood, I fitted a similar system to our last motorhome, it was very easy to install.

I have it fitted… makes the van drive so much better, especially on motorways.
The guy at Liverpool who fitted it was excellent. Well pleased

AS are 110 miles and several hours from us, we could have just popped to Doncaster, about 45 minutes away.
Make a trip of it, have a break in North Wales or the Peak District or somewhere. The Stretton Fox at Stretton is a really good free pub stop over for the night before. Cath or Phil will drop you off in Warrington to spend the day there while they do it.
Brilliant service, fantastic people and we went back to get HPC levellers fitted there because the work was so good, never had an issue with either fitting. Worth the trip for good service and a reliable product in my opinion.

We have it fitted to our rear suspension. To be honest I don’t notice an improved drive - it might be firmer on roundabouts or when large vehicles pass. Our Autotrail Delaware has a long overhang so wanted it to raise the rear when getting on or off ferries. Not had a chance to test it yet….

Thanks to all for your input, I will let you know how it drives when I get it back. I live in fife Scotland cheers
