I’m a newbie
Hi all
We want to fit a Girard Tankless Water Heater to our campervan but when researching I can only find them in RV's or Motorhomes.
Does anyone know whether it will be ok to fit one of these to a Peugeot Boxer LWB H2 van??
Any help or advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi, welcome to the fun house. 🤪

I've just had a quick shuftie as I've never heard of them before so have read some of the reviews on Amazon and watched a video too and I think the issue may be the size of the piping you'll need and water pressure. The usual piping used is likely to be too narrow and the commonly used pressure pumps such as Shurflow tend to be 30psi and it looks like you really need 40psi although you can get larger ones; the other thing is the amount of water you are likely to get through when showering as it could be difficult to run the system without a good flow of water.

I can understand RVs having them but not sure about MHs unless they are the larger type.

Hi Mel
Thanks so much for your reply - this really helps. I will let hubby know so he can make the decision about it.
Thanks again.

We are in the process of converting a boxer, ours is the l3h2 version. We’ve fitted an IMASS instant water heater to ours. Not piped up yet so can’t feedback on how good it is though!

Thank Zoobec. Looks good and I think this might be the better option. Going to have to sell the Girard one I think - not even arrived yet from the USA!!

Has anyone looked into the Truma one they use in the USA? Aquago.

Seems a no brainier to me, but there must be a reason manufacturers aren’t installing them here?

The Girard arrived from the USA yesterday and hubby has inspected it and it virtually looks the same the iMass. The minimum it needs is 45psi.

You have to order the door separately for Girard. It come in white, black or plain metal so you can spray it what colour you like.

We've made the decision to keep the Girard (unless someone advises otherwise).

Really appreciate all your help and advice about this. Keep it coming!!!!
