Here in Spain its hotting up.....its been 37 to 39 degrees over the past few days, Yellow warnings are turning to Red over the next few days in some southern regions.....time to lock up and leave, it could be reaching mid 40 degrees by the weekend......van is prepared, car will be undercover until late September.
There are cooler parts where daytime degrees are 10 or 12 lower right now...going there tomorrow....a spike in Covid infections has happened in some coastal areas, will be avoiding those....searching for quiet mountain locations where we intend chilling and riding.....

We would love to get away somewhere cooler, but finding somewhere cooler but quiet has proved impossible in the past - and with Covid still very much in the picture, that makes it even more difficult. Thank goodness for A/C and a pool - although that was 30C yesterday, not at all refreshing!

I'm guessing Almeria area?

Its been very pleasant last 2 weeks in centralish Portugal, now looking fairly good for some walking in the Picos ( hopefully)

It's fantastic temperate tee shirt weather here and no need for a sprinkler to keep the grass green .

Murcia .Lorca "The City of the Sun", "The Fortress of the Sun", historically the 2nd hottest area in Spain after somewhere near Sevilla. :hot:

You need to come to France down to 16°c yesterday and wet, 😉 but you do have plenty of free Aires and no problem wherever you go. 😎

I seem to think a few porkies about the ☀️, all our daughters talk about is rain. ☔ Bob.

Lincolnshire coast, this morning =

I'm Spartacus and so's my mum.

Wet, windy and dull in Kent.
That's not an awfully polite description of your dear old Mum ...

It was comments like this that would prompt my own mother to remark,'Our Stephen, if you had been twins, I'd have throttled the bloody pair of you ...'(y) Must find my twin and tell him it's safe to come out now ...

I feel for the Spanish football team, not a lot to look forward too returning to those temperatures after last nights penalty shot out. 🧐

We've found a place with 24° temperatures for the next few days (allegedly) so that's our first stop. It's where we left off on our last trip a few weeks ago, so it seems a fair starting point.

If you cannot score penalties, whether in open play or at the end ,you need to convert the chances when they arrive. They have excelled themselves with penalty misses in the tournament. Must be in to double figures.

Hope jab goes ok & no after effects(y)

Still waiting for our van to be matriculated here in Spain then off ASAP. 33 degrees here in the hills above Mojacar, BUT weather warnings for a spike to 45 degrees on Monday.

Great for the olive trees though (y)
Olive Trees, Teresa Green and Ann D. Palmer must live in adjoining properties, perhaps in the same neighbourhood as Daphne Hucker [known to her friends as 'Daph'; married to Rudolph Hucker, I believe ...]

Just hit 34 here at 60 degrees north, grass turning brown, rowan trees don't like it, cats disappeared under the workshop and I need to go out and get some more ice cream.🍨🍨🍨
