No, it's not some sort of trans-species event.

You may remember a thread some time ago when we discussed what we call our motorhomes. Well, our's was called George - why? you ask? Simple really, our car's reg ended with ZPY so was called Zippy and therefore the MH had to be called George (we later named the safari room Bungle).

Anyway, in 2010 we bought a new car but after a few months we missed the Zippy name so we bought a suitable ZPY reg from the DVLA and attached it to the new car meaning that the rainbow family was complete again .

Still with me? Earlier this year, due to an increase an family size, we had to replace the car with something bigger but it was older so we couldn't transfer the reg. Looking to the future we did however pay the retention fee.

Phew, nearly there.... So yesterday we bought a new (to us) Elddis Autoquest 180. It's a 2010 model with only 2000 miles on the clock and one previous owner who hasn't even used the oven. We're re-registering the new MH with the ZPY reg so it is now Zippy ::bigsmile::thumb:

The new car has never felt like a Zippy anyway but it's not really a George either so we're thinking about Geoffrey.
