Just been having a look at my gaslow setup and wondered what this guage is telling me ?

Any know, I realise it's pressure but why is it in the red ? And what are the blue and black truma components ?
TIA

I'd guess the blue thing is the regulator, the German writing says with safety valve, how old is the van? I think the gauge is indicating the output pressure from the regulator, older German vans used a higher gas pressure so that may be why it's in the red. But I don't know definitely, perhaps someone who does will comment shortly.

Did you take the photo with a bottle turned on? If not, then it is indicating a pressure drop downstream of it.
My Gaslow gauge slowly drops over a few hours after turning off the cylinders but jumps back up to green as soon as I turn one on..

I've got one bottle turned on and the smaller second bottle turned off.
Nothing in the way of appliances turned on when photo taken

The blue one is a regulator the black one is a pressure switch, there only appears to be one gas line to it and a cable so could be some sort of alarm.
As Chris says could be something to do with when they ran at 50mb German vans changed to 30mb in 2002.

Ok, so nothing I need worry about (y)
The cables go to heaters on the pipework from gas bottles I think.
Thanks all

If you regularly fill up in Europe (where the mix is varying degrees of butane/propane) it's likely the butane content has risen, resulting in lower pressure.

I've noticed this phenomenon on my gaslow (propane) gauge. Filling up in UK (supposedly 100% propane) brings the pressure back into the Green sector.

My 2002 Hymer was based on a 30mbar regulator system.
