I recently bought a pair of 11kg Gaslow bottles second hand, and whilst they are stored in my garage. THis morning I noticed a faint smell of gas so I checked all over with leak detector spray and found a minute gas leak coming from where the gas out let screws in the bottle. When I removed the Steele hoses the second bottles non return valve would not shut off, I had a gaslow blank handy and I blanked it off.
I sent Gaslow an email explaining what was happening and told them the bottles were dated 2008.
They got back to me within 1 hour and said don't worry as the bottles are guaranteed for 15 years, and I've arranged to go down to their premises next week and they are fitting replacement valves etc.
What a great company to deal with.
