my lad is doing a self build, photos soon, but he is putting a gasit tank underneath, and the on off valve is on the tank underneath, how do you go on when the tunnel want to see your gas is off, do you have another tap in the van or are the isolater switchs good enough?
Thanks

I put a tap just above the floor inside a cupboard which I turn off when travelling as well.

Mine has an on/off tap in the old gas locker. Never had a problem at the tunnel! Autogas 2000 tank.

We have an underslung tank and turn off the isolater taps which they have to come aboard to see. Never had any trouble yet with this - on different crossings they have either come on and looked at the taps, or said they cant come on and taken my word for it, or just taken my word for it.

The isolater taps are going to be just inside the back door so easy to get at, so that seems to be enough then, even though you could still get at them from inside to turn them on again , so not a great safety thing.(n):(

Thanks folks, I now see there is another thread running along similar lines so sorry for duplicating any answers, didn't look before I posted but anyway it seems ok to just use the isolaters.(y)(y):)
