Hi, weveHi, weve just turned our gas hob on to make a cuppa and it's ts naking a gurgling noise and the flame is large and orange. Needless to say we turned it straight off and will get it checked. It was fine last time we used it two weeks ago. Any ideas?

Have you cleaned the hob and got water where it should not be, orange flame is not enough air/oxygen.

Probably water in the top of the hob, make sure it's all dried out, take off the top and give it a clean. Then relight it and let it evaporate any remaining water.
Open your vents and door when doing it.

As above almost certainly water in the jets. It's good to find out now but best be careful as if it was the last clean before winter there could well have been some corrosion. I'd get the burner tops off and dry everything off.

Yellow/orange flame is not enough air/oxygen, but a bright orange flame is often due to sodium. Same colour as the older orange sodium street lights. Sodium is present everywhere, especially in spilled food or drink, and is a normal constituent of food. Table salt is 50% sodium.
