In very very hot France and having trouble with three way auto fridge/freezer not working on gas.

last night it worked all the time , today had to change the bottle which was full.

gas working on the cooker and on gas heating

the gas indicator on the fridge keeps bleeping.

took off the outer cover and the chimney was cool when I think should be hot.

If it was working on gas you would feel the heat from the flame so it's clearly not working.
Could be debris in the flue / burner jet area ?
Is it working on 12 volts and ehu (if you can test) ?

If it was working fine before you ran out of gas then there will be air in the pipe and the safety device will switch it off. You have to keep trying to purge the air out by switching off then back on, this will take a few attempts as the flame nozzle is small and the pipe is fairly long
good luck

Yes working on 12 volt and mains.

I think I may have to find a garage with a high pressure hose.

Why did you change the bottle if it was full? Was it just to try a different bottle to see if the fridge would start working again on another bottle?
As already suggested, it may just need the air purging from the piping.

Spriddler. last night was it working on gas , when we stopped this evening and starting using gas again it ran out. So changed over to our full bottle.

Probably a blocked jet ,try blowing through it with a couple of straws cellotaped end to end so you can reach the jet by blowing. I carry a can of air ,the type used for cleaning keyboards as I had this issue once.

Well it would seem that when changing the bottle air has entered the piping which is quite normal although I expect you know that as presumably that wasn't the first time you had changed a bottle.
Perhaps the fridge didn't stop working on gas because the gas ran out but because of the fault that you are now trying to sort out?

When I said it needed purging I meant it needed gas to remove the air from the pipe sorry about that .
if you switch on , wait til the indicator light starts to flash ( that means it has detected no flame) then switch off then back on several times ( maybe 5 or 6)I’m pretty sure it will start to work

AG 2602 had the same problem yesterday, it was a reset problem maybe that is what is needed , have a look at Fridges and Ovens section 8.56 pm yesterday.

Thanks everybody for your help in curing this problem. Yes the answer was purging, The first time I purged it this did the trick. Taking off the outside grille I could see the pilot light was on. Thanks to all of you.
