Putting a hole in the side of my Peugot boxer PVC to install a refillable gas system raises a question, there are a couple of options: Gaslow 70mm round filler which is also quite deep, or a smaller square One? I like the idea of a smaller square one, but that can come with a flat flap - requiring the gas fill adapter to be kept separate, or with a cube cover where it can be left on. The square filler doesn’t seem to need as much space behind either. The round filler looks more convincing as “Autogas”.

I am thinking to position it on the rear of the left back quarter bumper below the rubber stop block. Any (sensible, Ive posted on here before) suggestions, case histories, or opinions welcome. I am sure there will be someone on here who has been there, done that

Thanks in advance, Ed

Since many garages will be wary of anyone apparently using any adaptor, even if those are a necessary part of the standard fitting, I would want to install a complete fitting that would at least accept the standard UK pump nozzle.

If your fitting protrudes beyond the outside face of your vehicle in some sort of "cube cover", would that be vulnerable to accidental impact damage?

We use hundreds of the square fillers like these with the long bracket bent and drilled , fixed to the nut behind the bumper no van drilling required 👍

I fitted the small type with a flat duct cover, yes you do need to screw in the adapter but you would have to if you were touring in the EU , doesn’t bother me.
It only needs a 30 mm hole and four screw holes
