Garmin BC 40 reversing camera

garry55 fat haggis AndyPK and anyone else who has one ?

My BC40 arrived yesterday so I plan to fit it shortly
I just wondered if any of you had advice on where to fit it, my thoughts were to go high up near the central brake light ?
Do you find it picks up much road grime there, how frequently do you need to clean it and did you consider if it needs a shroud to protect it ?

I’m high/centre. Under centre brake light. Cleaning every now and again. Good place for it. More secure from being picked off easily. It’s a good rear view camera or reverse camera. I use it for the rear view when I need it.

Mine was on the rear number plate - never needed to clean it unlike the high-level wired camera in the top brake light - that was always picking up road grime…..

yes, as long as you have the correct Garmin SatNav to pair it with…..

I've got two, one high level, one low level and swap between them via my garmin 780 depending on whether my bike rack is being used or not. I clean the lenses very rarely
