Afternoon all,

I have been trudging away fixing some damp. I have located a source and it is via the garage door. Not the rubber seal but the seal between the GRP and the door frame.
I have been trying but cannot get the polystyrene sandwich panel out to reseal it.
You have the metal frame and an aluminium strip, this looks to the pressed into the metal extruded frame.

If I can disassemble it I can quite easily seal it all up.... however I cannot do it. Anyone got any ideas ?

Before I give up and start going at it will a sledge hammer 😂.

Cheers

Sorry I thought I posted one 😬....the aluminium bit. t

The main door is made from an extrusion and painted white. The GRP sandwich panel sits inside it. Then to hold it in that aluminium bit appears pressed into the frame of the main door extrusion.

As a temporary measure I have sealed the gap with PU40. Hopefully it lasts. As I am thinking it may have to be a new door if that doesn't work. I managed to scrape out the old dry stuff and get some inside.

Unless there is a magic way to disassemble the door it will have to do... until I can justify the 400 quid for a new one :ROFLMAO:.

I have the entire frame out and have resealed everything. Hence the caraflex in the background.

Cheers all

Mark
