FYI - Nth East Lincs - Another LPG site disappearing

Went to fill up with LPG - Thurs 7th Jan 2021... ( JET - Eastfield Rd, South Killingholme, Immingham DN40 3DJ ) Noticed a large development taking place adjacent to station..

When I went in to pay... Was told it's a new site for the petrol station... and the staff informed me; "current plans are the new site would not be stocking LPG"

The next nearest available site ( for me at least ) is ( BP - Barnetby Interchange A18, M180, Brigg DN20 0PA ) .. However, this site is often "out of stock" of LPG..

Agree lpg stations are getting scarcer, possibly of no use to you but Applegreen filling station, 187 Ashby Road, Scunthorpe DN16 2AQ, 01724 853375 had lpg when we filled up there at the end of last month, 69.8p litre.

We understand however, that Applegreen has been taken over by Shell, so this facility may change in the future...........

Had to do a 100 mile trip yesterday just to find LPG - Uttoxeter not working, Stoke not available, Keele southbound services wasn't working so had to go further south on M6 to then head north to Knutsford services and then south again back to home. The perils of Full timing..

My other Regular is Morrisons - 1A White Rose Way, Doncaster DN4 8SJ ... (0.577 p/ltr) As I'm often over that way...

I'm sure Morrisons will continue as there appears to be lots of LPG taxi's in and around Doncs area.

My friend has an LPG garage. He said that some dealers are getting rid of it because the staff time factor is demanding helping people who can’t figure it out at the pump.
Our local calor depot is closed for the foreseeable future as well.
I have an answer to this, Charge a couple of quid extra for an attendant to fill you up, and pump price for self fill.

I can actually see their point here. Do you remember when fuel had two prices, attended or self service ? Your choice. I have learned how to fill up the gas tanks on my motorhome, some haven’t or can’t be bothered.

Same old story people only think lpg available at petrol stations . Google local suppliers such as cheshire gas we have in stockport approx 0.55 ltr small independent companies all over the country.

Have you tried Flogas at Stoke, I use them down here in Peterborough

Our very large locks BP station has stopped selling it recently and has installed around 10 electric charging stations.
we do have the lpg eu app which directed us to an auto factors business that had a large lpg tank on its premises last time we ran out when in Rugby.
so it doesn’t always have to be a petrol station as other businesses have them.

My geography isn't brilliant in the Staffs area but we found that Stafford itself was a desert when it came to LPG.
We went, I think it was 13/14 miles from Haughton to Gailey where is a gas Co. named MMS. They not only sell bottles but convert vehicles and have a gas point for filling.
