Went to the van today to look at hard wiring my sat nav or dash cam to Peugeot Boxer based Bailey motorhome. Looked in the fuse box to source a 5A fuse on which to piggyback the hardwire kit. I noticed that the fuses were physically smaller than the automotive fuses that are used in the distribution box and other fuse boxes in the habitation part of the van.

I realise that I have plenty of spares of the larger fuses but none of the smaller ones which, being for the vehicle part of the motorhome, will presumably needed for things like wipers, lights, spare sockets etc. I need to order some so wondered whether the smaller type fuses were a standard size and if so, what size they are? Didn't want to pull one at the time but wish I had so I could have measured it.
Thanks.

They are the latest mini size fuses. Spares are available in Halfords or here

Stealaway-thanks. Ordered.
I was going to say don't buy the dirt cheap ones off ebay but I see I'm too late.
To my mind you should be paying that price for 6, not 24.

To add to the confusion there are mini low profile ones as well!

If you get led ones, which you can, they glow when blown - so to speak. It makes identifying the fuse much easier. They don't work in every type of fault but for the extra cost they are worth it. :)

Too late; I've ordered the cheapies but may just buy some better quality ones.
I think I'd glow too if I was blown. Speaking from memory obviously.... :giggle: :censored:

If you are piggybacking off an existing source, these would be more useful to you as you dont have to start chopping the standard loom about and making a pigs ear of it for the next owner ?

HandyAndy-one of these came with the hard wiring kit.
