Fun Classified Ads

I have a couple of items listed for sale.
I have had lots of enquiries from someone who is not a paid up member and has made no posts.
I am very suspicious that it could be a scam.
Anyone else experienced this ?

They must be able to. I had a member sell an item to a non paid member rather than me because they asked first by a gnats whisker. I did feel a little gutted and at the time did wonder why I had paid to join. I seem to recall the buyer was a very long standing free member who probably used the forum to buy things from

As long as they pay before you give or send it to them then I don’t see a problem…

I too am of the view, that only subscribers should be able to purchase items through classifieds, however, I do appreciate that it would reduce the number of potential buyers significantly.

It was a while ago now so my recollection may be incorrect but tge buyer I am referring to had not posted anything on the ad so I was surprised when the seller told me I had just been beaten to the purchase. I did query with the seller that I thought classified section was for members and they said not and that they didn’t mind who they sold to, it was a sale, as I recall.
