Do full timers take part in rallies and enjoy them as much as people who only use their van for recreation purpose only or is it a bit of a bus mans holiday?

Well we just did at Weymouth and Corfe. Brillient rally's.

Having said that there is still the usual maintenance to take care of, domestics such as laundry and cleaning, so that can mean you don't join in everything. However, I have never let household chores get in the way of enjoying myself - house, motorhome whatever, chores always come a poor second.

One of the good things is that we don't have to pack and unpack the van each time we go away. I used to hate the unpacking after a holiday or rally.

A Woosh bang
When full-time for three years we only went to one rally, simply because most of our time was touring and exploring Europe.. not in the UK

but in any case, we are not big fans of rallies or meets.. only been to 3 or 4 in the past 10 years .. no plans for any more this year..

Not everyone, full time or not enjoy rallies

40 yrs and still not got a release date
We are currently on a break from fulltiming whilst our daughter attends primary school.

But when we were fulltiming we attended lots of rallies and also organised a fair few including ones about fulltiming which were always well attended and launched a number of fulltimers into their lives away from the institutional bricks and mortar.

I go to a few Rallies a year to meet up with friends. 4 so far this year with another 2 possibles.

My favourite one is Stratford as it is a full week and I do meet quite a few other full timers there.

Never leave a campsite with your clothes line tied to a lamp post.
I like the rallies and shows.
I just put
'Pick ticket up at gate'
As delivery address.

Hi Sue,

We are at home at the moment in Sunny Deb'n with trips planned to Cornwall, Malvern and Scotland this summer and then we will head back down to Spain and Portugal again for the winter. If we get a chance to join you at Shell Island for a few days we will let you know.
