Hi hive,
So having a few issues with Burtie Burstner and the solar system. Seems to be a drag on the batteries, hopefully being chased and sorted Wednesday 🤞🏻. Reading on another site a guy who done a 3 year report on his solar / induction set up. Original thoughts were nah....but reading it and others posts on there, being full timers and if we can keep in the sun, seems a good way to go or at least investigate as free energy per se.
Thoughts please?

Plenty Lithium, Solar and B2b if driving then yes doable.
If you still have gas for the heating and not a diesel, then general advice is use fridge on it too.

Yes guessed lithium possibly top of list. Already a compressor fridge ax the 3 way was past its best before date. Gas for alde system and back up diesel heater. Its more the cooking side I'm looking for plus minus too I guess.

I rarely use gas for cooking, I hev the induction hob and microwave kettle, toaster etc.
If i need a few pans at the same time then the gas goes on but as Ive got the lithium and solar (plus the induction hob is great) i just tend to use that.
Only downsides are the amount of draw just a single induction can put on your batteries/cables depending on the bank you have and how much extra you use, to put it back in I have 2x200a and plenty solar with b2b so works ok

Our last gas fill up (16L underslung), was back in midd May, when we left Romania. We still have 30% now, according to the mopeka readings. We live in the van , travel and work out the van, so full use. Last ehu plug in was early March. We have two compressor fridges, one run as fridge, and a top opening run as freezer at -12C. Most energy it’s solar power. We have 590w on the roof, and 230w portable, that we take out, and point to the sun. A 2kva inverter and 400ah lithium, does our hot water, but if cloudy we turn to gas and electric, so it helps. We use electric kettle, oven, induction hob, and heat water for showers. Heating it’s done by diesel heater, but also gas heater if needed. Most of the gas is used in cloudy days for cooking, and odd hot water, that’s why lasts so long. The clue is to have redundancy, with multiple ways of doing things.
With the right equipment you can run gas free, we are almost there, just few upgrades later on.

I was thinking of buying a foldable too, I had reservations though if they dont match the ones already on the roof, so I thought about putting the foldable one not through the Victron 100/50 MPPT but just through an old PWM I have.

Wondered if it would drag down the perfomance of my 550 via the MPPT 100/50 on the roof (same panels up there)

I bought 2 victron 115 panels, and two door hinges bolted to the panel frame. Make your own, don’t waste money on mediocre panels. These are coupled on separate 100/20 controller.
Here is a snip before noon today.
