Hi folks, does anybody have any recent experience of apple picking on fruit farms. We've potentially got about 6 week's work on a farm near Hadlow where we can live in our MoHo, rather than using paid for 'on site' accommodation. Not worried about the graft, but interested to hear of anybody else's experiences. We're full timers and need to top up our beer tokens after an expensive time touring Scandinavia and Finland.

And who said the Brits won't do hard graft :D

Nice one (y)

East Farleigh, orchard view, there is a CL site on the orchard, and the farmer is short of man power. We stayed there last year, not worked on the farm but got to meet the guy and he’s lost all his East European teams. He’s got a fair bit of apple orchard. Worth trying.

Try giving Highland court farm a ring nr Canterbury. Can Hadlow college not give you hint of fruit farms in Kent.

Raul We've got some work potentially at Victoria's Farm, but will definitely keep this one in mind for future positions. Thanks

Do they still do seasonal hop picking in Kent or is that now no more?
Didn't find any positions when we searched. I'm not sure if we still have any serious growing, going on anymore

How about grape picking? We both did a bit at Biddenden vineyards.
I don;t know if they would let you stay in the moho but there are plenty more vineyards in the area.
