From iPhone Sky Go to TV anyone know how to do it? (1 Viewer)

We have a Sky TV at home and the package gives me Sky go an app which enables me to watch TV on my phone when I’m on the continent. The question; is there anyone out there who can guide me through the process of how to get the picture/programme from my phone onto our Avtex L187DRS rather than my wife and I being squashed around my iPhone. Help with this would be seriously appreciated. Thank you

I think some have said you can mirror from your phone to a firesick then into the TV we have a firestick but can't remember the last time we used it so not tried. See if the wife is up for some alternative entertainment?????

Would need to check that SkyGo supports this from the App, but I use Netflix etc from phone to a TV via a HDMI cable. you do need a lightning to HDMI adapter like this:

Sorry, it can’t be done, I have a lightning cable but sky have blocked it.

I’ve tried from the iPad using the correct lightning cable which cost around 50 euros and it will not work, comes up as not allowed or something like that. Will give it another go but have tried several times.

Yes, it does, but the app can block it still. I used to use this method to watch Amazon Prime on my TV back before they had an Apple TV app (send it to the Apple TV form my iPhone).

The easiest way to use SkyGo on an external display such as a TV is to use either the desktop (laptop) or games console (Xbox etc) version of the app rather than a mobile device.
