Anyone know what causes my Dometic Fridge to make a juddering noise?
Keeps happening every 10 minutes.
First trip away this year and seems to be happening much more frequently than before?
Any ideas please?

... perhaps its cold ... :imoutahere:

Sorry, couldn't resist! :D

I assume it's a 3-way, not a compressor one.
Do Dometic make a compressor fridge?

Oppps... So they do, didn't realise weaco was Dometic.
every days a school day.

That's possibly why it judders if the compressor mounts are a bit soft.

Forget the Fridge, it’s the pump next to the fridge!

Anyone know anything about pumps???

They judder.

Seriously..... If the water pipes are in contact with any cupboards/locker walls etc the walls will act as a sound board and amplify the noise.

Regular pulsing with taps closed usually indicated a minor water leak somewhere or the pump needs adjusting.

No leaks but yes that’s really helpful, thanks.
Checking it out right now, he’s on the floor head in the cupboard.

Just recovering from the thawing Turkey joke.....

If the pump keeps cycling briefly, every so often, the water pressure is slowly reducing and it is trying to maintain operational pressure. Check underneath the van first, it could be a slight leak from the dump valve. Taps dripping should be easier to spot (could even be the toilet flush) else look for damp (or a puddle) anywhere near to pipework.

Thank you so much that is making more sense to me now.
I’ll be checking under the Motorhome in the morning.
Need to get it sorted so annoying!

Always best to deal with the easy things first.
No point in becoming trapped in awkward places unnecessarily!

If there is an 'on' switch on the panel for the pump then turn it off which will isolate the pump, then you can see if the juddering continues ... that way you'll know if its that or the fridge.
