Fridge ignition (1 Viewer)

Been puzzling me for a while has this. When fridge is off & you wish to light on gas it takes forever .Even holding in the button to allow gas through for 20 seconds still won't get it to light until umpteen attempts have been made.

If it has been running on electric & is down to temperature then you can hold button in for 20 seconds & press ignitor & it lights first time. It doesn't need cleaning, tried all that. Just odd & annoying.

The time it takes to re-ignite my fridge after refilling with gas, or after it has run out, seems to depend on the alignment of certain stars, the length of my grass and the number of goals City scored that week.

Mine is almost instantaneous, weather from off to being selected from 12 or 240 V. Dometic 8 series.

probably down to air in the pipe, but could be the flame failure valve being warm helps it light. sometimes its near impossible to find the exact reason

just service and clean the burner regularly
