Hi all you good people. Can you help me please. Our water system seems to have either an air lock or air is getting in somehow. Sometimes the does not turn off. But each time you turn on the water there is an initial spurt which splashes everwhere. No signs of leakage anywhere apart from a very small drip from the tank emptying pipe. The pump is a Shurflo 2095-204-112 fitted in an Autotrail Tracker 2011. Any help would be gratefully received as I have not got much hair left. Eric

Does it do the same with the bathroom taps? Switch both the sink and bath taps on and then in turn cover the opening with your finger, on alternative taps does the pressure increase? If so air lock and use this technique to bleed the system if not water pump/microswitch if fitted on tap on way out.

Does the spluttering start immediately you open the tap?
If it's a second or so later it could be the water is "draining" back into the fresh water tank as a result of the pump diaphragm being damaged or a bit of grit stuck in it. We had something similar a year or two back but it corrected itself with me doing nothing so think the latter.

Hi bleed your system by turning on the furthest tap away from pump (usually shower) then next tap say hand basin leaving you loo and kitchen sink. Once they are all done and no spluttering the pump should stop pumping 👍 if the pump keeps pumping then change the pump or get a repair kit for the pump
Edit as someone said the other day buy and carry a spare pump it will never go wrong 😀

If the diaphragm has split there will be water under/around the pump.
The pressure microswitch is below the diaphragm and open to air and any water getting past the diaphragm will leak out past the microswitch.
If its drawing air its most probably the clear plastic filter at the pump inlet has cracked.

Thanks I will give the filter housing a very close inspection. Did clean it though. Thanks again Eric

I have changed the diaphragm although with no obvious damage but it has cured the problem. Thanks again Eric
