Took the van out for a run and topped up to the brim with diesel....

Then down to Chesil Beach for a pic-nic....... Bloody freezing.....

Loads of nutters Kite Surfing, in rough water for Portland Harbour, which is usually sheltered and calm`ish...

They must have been freezing their dangly bits off... even in wet suits....

8 Deg + Wind chill factor felt like minus 8....

Wished I had put the van on a SORN and saved a few ££££`s... :frowny::crying1:

Back in the day, i've surfed at Croyde in January with snow falling, it was so cold i could only manage around 45 minutes at a time before having to get out and warm up but at the end of the day after a hot shower, a t-bone steak in the thatch and a couple of beers you got the best sleep ever, happy days :giggle:

I learnt to windsurf and used to sail in Portland Harbour all year round-the sea never gets that cold and a decent winter wetsuit will keep you warm in the UK. In 1990 I moved to Cambridgeshire and windsurfed at Grafham Water-I can tell you that in March the water is as cold as it’s going to get-and that is dam cold-I have seen the lake frozen from bank to bank-if it was windy though………..

I have just put a shout-out on Facebook. I'll let you know ;)
