I may have asked before but cant find it, I may have seen it before but cant find it, so, sometime soon going to France via Tunnel with dog, apart from dogs paperwork and our covid passes/passports/insurance etc, what other documentation do I need / to complete etc before going. So looking forward to going after 3 years.

Advice please

Rang the caravan club the other day to ask the same question, told that apart from the COVID injection proof no other papers needed from those we carried previously

Yes, only require Covid jabs proof plus all the docs taken previously eg: V5 registration certificate, proof of insurance, MOT (if applicable) and passport(s).

We don't have a dog so, unfortunately, unable to advise on that score.

Earlier this month we were in France with the van for the first time since the pandemic. :giggle: Hope you have a great trip! (y)

Just checked with ET today as it happens and was told all that is now required was to be fully vaccinated a passport with the required time still on it and a A.H.C. if you have a pet, it does say on the Gov uk website that a EU-PLF may require filling in but was told this is not now required.

Thanks for replies, I was wondering about the locator form as my son had to do one a month or so ago, but he went with a group and he didn't do any of the paperwork so didn't know bout it. They went by boat though, not tunnel. I think I,m looking forward to it, it seems so long ago since we last went, do we want all the hassle, but already paid for nearly 3 years ago and can't afford to lose that sort of money, maybe our last one abroad though, we will see how it goes.

We’re currently in France. As others have said, you need either proof of fully vaccinated and boosted status (I.e. both doses if a double-shot required, plus at least one booster) OR negative PCR/antigen test (commercial not NHS free one!), plus passports. Additionally, the normal vehicle docs, in case you’re stopped.

If you have the Eurotunnel app, you can also upload proof of covid vaccine 72 hours before departure.

We had similar apprehensions beforehand, which of course melted away the moment we arrived in France (having also paid for our tunnel crossing almost three years previously). :giggle:

We enjoyed our trip immensely, and hoping to return in September.

Have a great trip! (y)

We went after the first lookdown full of apprehension. Had a great time and been each year since. Just take the precautions you feel are necessary and enjoy it .
Lifes too short .

Crossing Monday and hopefully have all we need, just took the dogs for their tapeworm this morning so fingers crossed no late night dramas like last time (passport was that old it was hard to read so they refused entry). COVID app is all we have so that will have to do, i guess it will be fine.

Vehicle docs, insurance cert and license also required relating to the OP’s question.

I think it pays to have a paper copies also of covid. I have also taken pictures of everything on my phone. You also need originals, van ins etc
