Looking for the Aire in Martigné-sur-Mayenne just below Mayenne and close the Escape to the Château we came across this easily accessible weigh-bridge. It may help if you have just crossed from Caen.
Basically go down to the aire. At the parking follow small road behind sports hall to island about 100m it’s on the right outside Thielin culture sa.
The place was closed but bridge was working. You can see the bright red reading above the door outside.
Easy to read as you do front rear and total.
Lucky for me I was 10kg under the 3850. Unfortunately back axle was 20 kg over and we only had half a tank of fuel on board though.
We are at the end of our 90 days now so carrying a lot but will need to reassess before the next one in April.
I honestly thought I would be well inside. But it just goes to show how easy it is to overload. Thinking the electric bikes we have dragged around for 90days with minimal use may not make the cut next time.
