Lots but slow learner.
Just got our statement for toll charges on our recent trip.
The trip was screwed up as we had to get to places as quickly as poss so used the toll roads more than we wanted.
€328
Next trip i'll make sure we use the tolls as little as is possible.

We will be using Mont Blanc and Frejus this year so I am expecting a peage, autostrada and tunnel bill of about €300

HOW MUCH?!! Cor blimey mister.

St jean-de-monts in Vandee and back.
Direct route = €00000 nowt.

Did S.F couple of years ago, got spanked by tolls when they would not drop us Class 2.
Tried to avoid tolls around Marseille but the roads were so full of pot holes etc that I felt I'd do much more damage to the van than the toll cost.

If you don't have endless time then tolls just have to be factored in unfortunately

I suppose you all know this, but what we useually do is follow our Google maps set to no tolls and by doing this we make our mind up as we go along, most of the time we follow what it says but by looking at the route ,if it wants us to go miles out of our way we go on the motorway, she shouts and screams at this a bit but will then keep telling you where to get off to go back to no tolls.
And by putting no tolls but not no motorway she will put you on the free motorways when available

Or use common and make more time for your journey .....
