Just noticed at the very bottom of each page is a function named 'similar threads.
It appears the' similar threads' are in no way related to the thread being read.
The one below is in the 'very sad sad day' explosion thread... I can't see a connection.
Time to remove it Jim?

We’ve got a thread with new features and changes discussed here.

Preview is now an icon, top right in the editor.

There isn't even a similarity between them let alone to this thread.

iirc post upgrade issue posts got merged into Some things happening today. Fun will go down at midnight
Maybe this one will get there.
I've not had to set up rules for "similar thread" post displays but expect there'll be some filtering Jim can tweak.

Think its a bit like google (other search engines are available) it will throw up other items with similar key words.

I do like the ability to ignore threads without having to open them. I always ignore soap opera threads but have had to open them before.

Sorry I didn’t really explain it properly . Within a thread the thread starter was always highlighted as thread starter with a orange box on the right hand side . Not really problem if it’s gone . Just something I found useful

It's has all completely thrown me i use to just click the flag and and the forum post cam up now i am seeing relay old stuff and if i don't check i am nearly answering thread's years old to folks that are long dead or long gone
but it's progress and maybe just a few gremlins

Its probably picking up on certain words in the threads eg:
The big 1s OBD lock = software
Wombles Stratford meet cancelled = update
Airwaves bumper paint = why

The similar threads thing is just a dumb computer looking at word patterns. Sometimes it will be good, others awful. However Similar threads have been clicked on over 17000 times since Wednesday, so it keeps people reading which makes me less inclined to remove it.
