Won't be long now ferry 8 May 2015
Travelling from Ayr to Uig ferry port on Skye
So looking for a night stop wilding possibly
Fort William area
Inbetween Uig and Fort William ( but nearer to F/W)
Just somewhere to sleep
Will be travelling from Ayr so need a stop over

Also sailing to Stornaway from Uig ( due to habour works at Ullapool )
Will be arriving 11 pm ish so anyone know if you can stay over night at the ferry terminal
If not somewhere very close

Nip into lidle and ask if you can overnight done it twice now no problems if you ask
10 minutes to walk into fort william
Follow signs to railway station and go past morrisons lidle store on right

Just a thought don't try to overnight on council car parks I think you would br moved on

The main car park at the south end of the town has no overnight signs but people just tend to ignore it as the police admit they turn a blind eye unless they get a call for a disturbance.
We have used the car park several times. Usually at least 4 MHs parked up.

Yes the suggestions I have written down and was hoping someone might mention Stornaway

Stornoway - not sure about the ferry terminal but tesco is just across the road, large car park, and plenty other places as well close by, shouldn't have any problem at all.

Just an up date after searching the forum when heading into fort William, the is a very nice carpark just before Lidl, £2 for 24 hours and full of motor homes and hgv's x
