Hi all, if anyone else is wandering around the area please be aware that Forge les Eaux aire is closed.
There are boulders blocking the entrance and exit, but no sign explaining whether this is temporary or permanent.

The tourist office website indicates that the aire is open 15 March to 15 October.

Strangely enough, this comes up every year that it's closed. It's probably a winter thing.

Is the Aire owned by the campsite, maybe don't want you using the aire when the site is closed?

But nothing to indicate that the closure is permanent, so presumably only over the winter as normal, as indicated above.

We have used the forge les eaux aire each march
and have never seen it blocked off
The electricity is switched off but that's all

Certainly the camp site owners have collected the fees when we have stayed
When we stayed in March they were busy over on the camp site working on the roof of the reception building

The aire is not owned by the campsite. It is a municipal campsite and both aire and campsite are owned by the commune, which clearly views it as sensible, given the proximity and similar nature of the two facilities, to have the campsite management collect fees at the aire.
