Campsite Opening Updates

Campsites in England are allowed to open from 12th April however they are unable to open shared toilets or showers and other indoor shared facilities until 17th May. Note that you will usually require self-contained on board facilities such as toilet, washing and kitchen facilities, tent campers should contact individual sites for more information.

Campsites in Wales are now allowed to open for those with their own facilities (tent campers should contact individual sites for more information) and initially for visitors living in Wales ONLY. Bookings are being taken for visitors from all areas for later in the season.

Campsites in Scotland should hopefully be allowed to open from 26th April, we are awaiting guidance on shared indoor toilet and shower facilities.

For all areas you can research and explore over 12,000 campsites with over 230,000 independent reviews for holidays in the coming weeks and months, and we recommend booking quickly as spaces are going fast.

All dates are subject to change in line with latest Government guidelines and announcements, and individual campsites may have chosen different opening dates. Our website is kept uptodate with any new announcements and changes - please visit our forums for the latest information or to ask a question.....

Useful thanks. So will pubs have toilet facilities shared when beer gardens are open?

Strange no toilets allowed to open on sites? I was down Hayling beach for the day Friday along with hundreds of others and the council run toilets were all open!!

It is weird as the site toilets on c and mc were spotless and continuously cleaned

If it’s like previous restricted pub openings when we had various tiers, etc. expect: -
No sharing. Men have theirs. Women their own. 😆
Lots of cubicles closed to keep larger gaps. (M & W)
Taped off urinals to split standers apart (M)
Where possible, extra temporary toilet blocks outside.
One in one out - so some queuing at all but the quietest times, 👀
