Anybody having problems with the app ?
I received 2 x 105AH Fogstar Drifts today.
I down loaded the app on to my phone but no matter what I do my phone just searches and searches and doesn't connect.
I have also down loaded the app on to my tablet but that won't connect either.
I have Bluetooth and location turned on on both devices and have uninstalled and re-installed the app several times on both devices but still no joy.
I can connect to other devices via Bluetooth no problem.

Solution2
Due to slight differences in resistances due to manufacture and even temperature, and electricity always takes the path of least resistance there will inevitably be one battery that drops quicker them the other my two Aolithium batteries rarely discharge at exactly the same rate there is always a slight difference, but not enough to cause me any concern.
According to the app only 1 battery at a time is discharging.
I put a 5amp load on the system and 1 battery showed it had a 5amp load on it and the other battery showed no load on it.
I would have expected both batteries to have shown about a 2.5amp load on each ?
We have a KS Energy one and after a while the battery sort of hibernate if not used even though there's 0.1a drain so I just have to put 12v on in the van and turn a light or something on to wake it up. Can you apply a load somehow?

???
The batteries aren't hibernating.
One has just been fully charged and the other is on charge as we speak.

Oh you never said and I was only trying to help as are others on here but mine is fully charged via solar and it still need a wake up, maybe Fogstar are different?

I used the app earlier today on my Android phone and it was fine. Occasionally when I return to the app, it doesn't connect and I have to force close the app. Works fine with fresh opening.

These have only arrived today and I wasn't being rude just stating that neither of my batteries are hibernating.
I've just uninstalled and re-installed the app again and now the app is only showing one of the batteries and still won't connect.

That's what the KS Energy does, put a load on and it wakes up but obviously your Fogstar are different.

I would assume that whilst being charged the battery is active ?
I would have thought so too as the solar keeps ours topped up but I can only tell you what I've found by trial and error. Yesterday I tried to connect and though it found the battery the display was all zero and the battery said offline
Put 12v on and fridge fired up, turned 12v off and instantly connected and displayed levels etc
Battery SOC 100%, discharging at 0.1a and cells pretty much balanced.

Not saying yours will be same but maybe worth trying or of course call Fogstar.

I've just uninstalled and re-installed the app yet again.
Now no batteries are showing yet they are both only a couple of feet away from me and one battery is on charge.
Unfortunately I do not have anything here to put a load on the batteries if that's what is needed.
However as the app is now showing no batteries to connect to that is probably irrelevant ?

Well according to my charger (Fogstar Drift 20amp lithium charger ordered with the batteries) the second battery is now fully charged as the charge light has gone from red to green.
I assume that they are both charged ok and that the cells are well balanced.
Unfortunately without the app I don't know for definite and can't set any alarms or check any parameters.
I had problems with delivery from Fogstar forcing me to take 2 days off work and there were parts missing when the batteries arrived today.
This is my first dealings with Fogstar and I am not impressed.

What happens if the charger is left connected to the battery, but not plugged in to the mains - one of my ancient optimate charger turns it LED's on, so then at least I know the battery is outputting something so not locked out in modern lithium BMS terms.....

When I unplug the charger from the mains but still connected to the battery the led charge light goes out after a couple of seconds.

Have you tried rebooting your phone, the problem you have sounds like the normal Bluetooth crap that happens with most Bluetooth connections. I had the same problems with my Bluetooth shunt it's better since the last few updates. Normally a phone reboot sorts it out.

Yes rebooted the phone and tablet several times.
Now I come to remember didn't somebody else report that the app didn't work with their phone ?
I might be mistaken.

The 2 devices I have been using are different makes.
My phone is a Huawei and my tablet is a Samsung.
I've never had a problem with Bluetooth connections with them before and they are connecting to other things via Bluetooth fine.
I've also tried the other half's phone and tablet, both Samsung with the same result.
Surely the problem can't be with 4 different devices ?

The apps I suggested are different to the Fogstar one. I often use them. One advantage they have is they don’t show every Bluetooth device in the neighbourhood unlike the Fogstar one.
OK I'll download them now and try.

Try connecting with another app such as Xiaoxiang BMS or XiaoXiangElectric (Elephant logo)
Tried that and this is what I got
