The sliding door fly screen in my new Globecar Summit 640 PVC rattles (more like a knocking sound) when driving. I think it's the top bar rattling in the guide track. Anyone else experienced this?

It's retracted as far as I can get it to go. How far should it go?

A small foam sticky pad on the side of the bar (sliding bit) should be enough to stop the rattle without making the slide too tight
If it works you will just hear something else.
We fitted a roof spoiler which made a big improvement with noise from from skylight but we then noticed the wind noise that comes from the mirrors.

Good idea, I'll try that. At the moment I have stuffed a wodge of paper towel between the upright and the kitchen worktop, which has silenced it, but it's not really a good permanent fix.

Wind noise I don't mind, it's loud knocking noises that annoy me. Compared to my 20-year-old Hymer, this one is very quiet in the creaks, rattles and bangs department.

Stick a piece of the fluffy side of Velcro inside the sliding track at the ‘home’ position - works a treat.

Had the same problem been driving me mad, took a while to track it down!
There is a bit of furry stuff but it’s not very effective So I’ve taken it out and stuffed a bit of foam in there, but needs something with less friction. Anyone know what’s really called and where I can get some…..

Look for self adhesive brush seal. Here's a link to one a Toolstation.

Found these guys too, have ordered as it looks to be the same…

We spent a bit of time dealing with van noises when we first had it.
Then bought a better radio and decent speakers :giggle:
