No.

Usually get them from a local shop or tabac, Mairie or Tourist Info office. There's almost always a sign close by telling you where to get them. Although we rarely use them we've got a couple of spare tokens knocking around somewhere in the van. Probably worth getting a few when you get the chance but remember there are several different types of bourne and the tokens are all different.

Surely the slots cut in the tokens are different for each bourne, bit like keys for a door.
Don't think that jettons purchased in one place will work somewhere else unless you are just lucky.
Of course I might be completely wrong.

Richard.

I think you may be wrong, a Jetton is a Jetton and will work in any post labelled Jetton

In my experience there are several different ones, though they are not unique to each bourne. However, also in my experience the ones you have won't fit, or you have possibly one that fits but have forgotten the safe place you put it.

There are definitely different jetons and not all Bournes accept all jetons. We've got a few different ones but rarely have the right one when we need it! So now only buy one for the one we want to use or try and find somewhere else to use for nothing!

Bournes using tokens/jettons seem to be slowly being replaced with CC operated. We tend to use these if we need water, otherwise you can almost always empty your cassette and grey tank - we use the grey to flush the cassette if no water available.

If you do use them for water don't forget to disinfect the outlet first, we've seen some quite disturbing uses of the water tap!

If you can buy tokens in one place and use them in another, doesn’t that mean that the wrong people are getting paid for the services you use, or does it not work like that?

On and off for many years.
I've seen tokens (including jetons) for sale on ebay from time to time. Never bought any though.

We try not to use Flot Bleu when we need water as don't like the fact that both fresh water and cassette rinsing water are in the same locked cabinet.
