- Since 1964 Gosh that makes me feel old.
I was checking over our elderly but well-maintained motorhome today & I knew that the gas hose has very slight marks on it at the start of winter.
Our motorhome has the old-fashioned low-pressure system with quick release to allow me to change from Butane to Propane reasonably quickly.
Today I checked the flexi hoses & got a nasty shock, the older darker coloured gas hose is dated 2019, but perished beyond belief.
The spare connection hoses are stored in the dark & I thought they'd be fine, but wow was I wrong.
The lighter coloured hose is dated December 2020, but it is flawless condition.
So, my next task will be to replace the lot & keep a closer eye on them in future.
Please check your hoses carefully, they might just be in worse order than you think!
