Hi All

We are hoping to go on our first proper trip in our new to us motorhome in the February half term next year.
Question is where do you guys suggest we go in the UK ?
Ideally somewhere with some leisure facilities for me and the wife and 11 year old daughter

Thanks in advance
Rob

How far are you prepared to go? Are you prepared to drive out daily or prefer to stay parked up on site?

Do you want an 'easy time' for your first trip? If so, here's a site in North Devon that I think looks great though we haven't been, it's open all year, has heated indoor pool, horse riding/pony mornings, mini zoo, golf & crazy golf, walks, food & bars with Sky sports, farm shop etc. We're thinking about giving it a go on our way home after Xmas/ New Year.

When the weather warms up a bit, but planning to get there before the midgies, I couldn't recommend anything more highly than this one IF you like the outdoors - it's right on a lake with kayaking etc, also local cycle hire, reindeer, dog-sledding nearby, masses of walking, 3 decent eateries in walking distance, bus on the doorstep into Aviemore or to the car park at Cairn Gorm (either hike up the mountain or take the funicular railway). It is real outdoors stuff.

Cofton park, near Dawlish is open all year. Really nice indoor pool suitable for children. ( food in the bar at the pool isn't great) There's a sauna and steam room too and some sort of game/ arcade room. There's a fishing lake too.

Beverley Park ( Paignton) I think is open all year too, but not tried it.
