Thought it was snowing in Nottm Xmas Market on Thurs,, then realised they had a snow machine,,Well worth a visit,,BUSBY.

I too like the snow, a recent sunrise above the cloud cover made a great start to a workday! Just have to watch out for the reindeer on the way back down through the forest!

It's been snowing in Norway too. I read a report today from a radio ham there who had walked to the top of a summit to operate from. On the way up he came across some of these.

The tin is 7cm across. The print, which was less than hour old*, is from a European Brown bear. They have been seen in recent years in Switzerland but still very rare ‐ and very shy. :)

* The explanation why he knew it was very recent is too lengthy to repeat, just take it on trust. :)

Only in Scandinavia would you use a snus tin as a size reference in a wildlife photo😂

nice, just planning my ski trip.

Nooo - my Christmas Day booking is dependant on the site access road being free of ice & snow

They are a bit like adders in the sense they can be dangerous but their first instinct is to escape from humans.

I think a bear with cubs could get unpleasant if it felt they were threatened but you would have to be deliberately careless to get in such a position.

There are bears in northern Spain but they are very difficult to see.
