Hi Guys ,
Just wanted to say thanks for letting me join,

We have recently purchased a new Bavaria 1740c, have used it for a short 10 day trip
to England, Wales Ireland & Scotland, it was a really enjoyable 10 days with many miles clocked up,

I have a Fiamma awning on the side but thinking of getting an inflatable air awning , we will be travelling
to France & Spain late September for the winter months, can anyone recommend a decent awning, ie Kampa air etc, i have heard that the kampa's UV rating on there awnings are not very good in sun for long periods? & can deteriorate in a short space of time.

Thanks again
regards
Gary.

Wow - it looks a stunning van - you should be very comfortable in that!! (y)

Ideal for going south for the winter.

Sorry, I don't have any advice of value concerning the awnings you've asked about.

But have a great time in your new MH. :)

Cheers, Mike

Hi Guys.

Thanks for your kind comments, no worries about the awning, i have done a bit of research but just wanted to know if anyone had first hand experience,

The van is very comfortable and both of us had great sleeps lol,
cant wait to spend the winter in it, just trying to get all i need for communication purposes while being away.

Thanks Guys and happy camping to you all.

Cheers

w2f...... from a user of a Kampa air awning, which stands up really well to wind & rain, but unfortunately I've only had it a few months and it's still waiting to experience some bright :sun:

Thanks for that info Ken,
i think i will most probably go for the Kampa, Have been hearing good reports about them, apart from one dealer
saying i would be better with a Vango as there UV protection is better, but that look like drive aways, and i want a fixed,
I think you can treat the material and that will help protect the awning.

Cheers
Gary.
