I'm a newbie
I'm viewing a motorhome this weekend for the first time. Well the first time seriously - I went and had a look around a few over the summer at a local dealership but I wasn't in a position to buy. This one is looking promising but its a long drive to go and view so I don't want to miss anything. It's being sold through Motorhome Depot. I have downloaded the Buyer's Guide from here but would welcome any tips from experienced owners on what to look out for. This will only be the second time I've purchased a vehicle and the first one (my car) was through a dealership.

Service history for the front end, rust underneath, damp in the back, damage to the outside.....

Apart from the usual checks about ownership, service history, damp checks, does everything work, general condition etc, just make sure you refresh yourselves on what you want from a van, preferred layout, imagine how you will use it, the must haves and the bits you are willing to compromise on (there are likely to be some you'll have to. Worth a sense check before you get too excited but in the current marked, you also need to be prepared to be bold and go for it if you find what you want. The dealers seem to be as busy and as short of stock as last year.

Before going, check that it has a decent payload.

Make sure you can sit on the toilet without banging your head on the door or elbows on the walls🤔😂
