First Drive Of An Electric Motorhome { You tube }

Only if You have any money left after buying the 200,000 Euro Electric Motor home.

400km range -the technology is getting there. Still rather slow charging - would be 2 days on 16A hookup. In a few years I hope we might be able to retrofit in our old vans....
I suspect that the Mooveo is plated at 3.5k and my old van is heavier so would have a lower range.

How long on a 6amp EHU?

Book a three week stay on a campsite, you should be just about charged up ready to get home again at the end!

I think it will be a long time before anything is available like our MH with the ability to wildcamp, or will the French be fitting recharge points on Aires. Otherwise it is campsites only.

Then one has to wait till the same vehicles are available on the secondhand market - at which time they will probably need new batteries - at £????

The furniture must be very light weight so I wonder how long that will last?

Geoff

For €200,00 it wasn't very well speced was it.
400km range probably translates to about 150 miles in real life. with 2 - 3 days to recharge at campsites as probably not possible to use car charging points due to access it would only take a month to get to Spain. Also couldn't use it in the winter to get across France as most sites closed & most Aires with EHU it's turned off.

Never going to work unless they install charging points suitable for Motorhomes all over Europe, as for the UK we can't even get dump points.

A question is could a 'normal' MoHo be converted to be fully electric (whether it is economically viable is another question)

Watched the video not impressed with range it would take me 4 days to get to Dover from home instead of the usual 5 hours.

Watched that video a few days ago and my impression was that it was a ‘normal’ motorhome that had been converted. They talked about removing the diesel engine and replacing it.
€200k is an awfully lot for a ‘bog standard’ moho and recharging on a French 6a supply would be interesting.

Richard.

But you would recharge as every other EV does, and yes a new infrastructure is needed. Even those campsite hookups have not always been there.

Now there's one the Labour manifesto has missed.

Three things have to come together for any vehicle for anything other than shopping / short commute: a minimum of 250 miles genuine range; fast recharging (30 minutes for 80%); price equivalence taking into account fuel saving. IMO those three things would satisfy most drivers - certainly me.
