not long enough
I used to see them regularly on the Scottish Borders , they and gold crests seem to like rural sewage works where I used to carry out surveys , that was five years ago before retirement , but presume they are still there

Lovely birds, we get them regularly in Derbyshire on our local nature reserve

We had two goldcrests in our garden yesterday. Haven’t seen one for some years. Probably lucky to see these.

Our Merlin app picked up a firecrest singing this morning.
Are they as far north as Norfolk now?

T
Sometimes I think Merlin gets a bit excited, it regularly tells me it can hear sea birds, but we are as far from the sea as it's possible to get and there is no sign of one but on the whole it's brilliant and if it says there is something it's usually there if you stop and listen that you wouldn't have noticed otherwise.

I had one here in my garden in Surrey, it popped its head out of the yew hedge. Never seen one in my garden before and it made my day. An exquisitely beautiful little bird.

FUNSTER in a PVC
We have seen them on Anglesey and Dumfries house Cumnock, tiny little birds which cannot keep still 😄
