Tomorrow I officially retire (albeit a little early) and am so looking forward to having time to take off whenever and wherever....in my mind, exactly what having a motorhome is all about.
I’m planning on going off on my own with the large hound so no doubt they’ll be lots of eventful stories to tell. The good news is we have a short break booked where hubby can talk me through all the workings/how to (again!) and this time I’ll have to pay attention cos it really is happening! Woohoo :roflmto:

Good for you. Enjoy it in large measures !!!!

Have a great time, :party:I've still got 4 years to go but hoping to retire in two. Getting excited already about escaping the shackles of work(y)

Best career move I ever made. Do not waste even the tiniest second of your time and (good) relationships from now on. Having the ability to please yourself doing what you want to do, not what you have got to do does come at a price - and that is the realisation that our time has a limit, and that we do not know what that limit is.

Happy Friday, Haitchjay, todays the day!!!

Make every moment count, and maybe now is the time to start a diary, so you'll never forget, as you otherwise will!
Now what did we do last week??? Very Best Wishes from Hampshire Hymer Man (retired 4 months ago) and Wife.

Happy retirement. Now it’s Friday get the van packed and get off somewhere nice 2mor.

Enjoy.

Just noticed where you live and not a million miles from us.
Did you see the programme on BBC this week about the river itchen.
I was blissfully unaware of most of the sights along this river. Have been to the Bush at Ovington but unaware of the bridge behind it. Also the swimming point and that viaduct. Good days out along there.

Ohh, no missed that one so will have to look on iPlayer. Sounds very interesting. Thank you ??

Thank you for all your good wishes. It is slightly odd to think that life is now completely in my control - as has been said, I do need to make the most of each day. With that in mind, I’m off for a girls weekend in London later so that will be a fabulous start. V& A here I come.
Loving the diary idea and was actually given a posh notebook recently so that will be perfect for that. Off to write my first entry now ...
:bear:

Congratulations, I wish you a long, healthy and happy retirement .

Biggest problem we have found is the amount of things that clash...and having to choose between going to event A B or C which overlap! #firstworldproblem ?

Family , health comes first then having the resources to do want you want, yes the river itchen chalk river not many of them ????
