We have just purchased a FIAT 290 motorhome and does any know if it is possible to stand on the front of the van to clean the winscreeen?
It seems a flimsy front our last van a Transit 7 series had two steps in the front to use to clean the screen but I am doubtful for the FIAT 290?

Don't stand on the front, instead stand on the top of each of the front wheels, you can then easily clean both sides.

On the older Fiats there used to be a step in the bumper but like you we are not sure our newer Fiat does.

As you say it feels a bit flimsy.

I bought one of them extending wiper/washer gadgets and use that now

It’s best not to stand on most Motorhomes to clean the front screen. Like many we use a telescopic brush that comes with a long pole to clean the parts that the windscreen wipers don’t cover.
