Fiat Ducato 2017 built in Zenec satnav problems

We are currently out touring and the SATNAV is failing to find the GPS receiver so stops working. Then it just sorts itself out while travelling, sometimes hours later.

I've found a thread on another site that says the GPS receiver may be in one of the wing mirror's but no-one seems to know which. It always fails at start up for a new journey.

I've checked the connections at the back or the head unit, but does anyone know where the GPS receiver is housed, or if there is a way of booting said device from cold?

Any thoughts or advice please?

Our 2015 Burstner with Zenec mediacentre has a separate GPS antenna which sits on the dash. The gps receiver is in the mediacentre. Zenec E3715.

Ours was on the top of the dash in our last Hymer when it worked it was good after 18 months of getting it repaired from new.

Ours never worked despite trip to fiat dealer, why not just replace receiver and plug new in to back of unit and ignore the one that doesn’t work

Thanks for suggestions thus far. Is it the little dome about an inch diameter sitting right front centre? Will have a play.
